Have you ever:

Eaten an entire meal blindfolded?
rock-climbed dressed as Spider-Man?
Cooked a meal using live crickets?

TAKE A CHALLENGE MAKE A CHANGE (TACMAC), is a Canadian social enterprise connecting young people with small businesses. We advertise the services of small businesses in the form of challenges to incentivize youth to participate in their local economy.

Our free online platform provides endless fun, local, and cost affordable activities. For every challenge completed, users support a small business and have the opportunity to support a charity of their choice. For more information click here.

-our story-

While attending Trent University, many of my peers often expressed difficulty with finding activities to do in Peterborough. Whenever I asked if they had visited the rock-climbing gym, go-kart track, or art studio, I was met with the same response: "Those places exist?". This was frustrating to hear. So many students were looking for places to spend money, and many small businesses were in desperate need of more revenue.

Nick Mitchell - TACMAC Founder

The COVID-19 pandemic has widened the gap between youth and small businesses even further. TAKE A CHALLENGE MAKE A CHANGE (TACMAC), was created to help close this gap.

TACMAC is about helping youth discover the power that they have as consumers. Young people want to make a positive change in their world. They also want to have fun. TACMAC provides the opportunity for young people to feel proud while having fun as consumers.

Our mission:

Harnessing the power of young people to make communities

and charities thrive.

Our vision:

A culture of young conscientious Canadian consumers.
